Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am running (along with my sister) the London 10k on 8 July to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. We are running in memory of our very special friend Dawn who died from MND in March this year.
Dawn hadn't even reached her 41st birthday and in fact I will be exactly the same age as Dawn on the day of this 10k as Dawn was the day she passed away after an exceptionally brave struggle with this horrific disease. She left behind her young daughter Eliza (the main picture is of the two of them) who now faces the World without her special Mummy because of MND; diagnosed only five years ago.
MND is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help sufferers achieve the best possible quality of life. The MND Association are continually researching ways to rid the planet of this dreadful disease.
