Story
The sheer amount of fundraising by people during the pandemic is incredible and we would like to help support the causes that need it most during this time more than ever. It was important to us however, to look to a smaller, local charity, which may not have as much awareness, and therefore may need more support to continue to provide the integral work they do.
Domestic abuse isn't always physical, you don't always heal and you don't always know when it's happening. As reports of domestic abuse surge during the pandemic, charities and initiatives that support victims of both physical and emotional abuse are vital to ensure 'victims are turned into survivors'.
This charity is very close to both of our hearts;
Robyn - Although it was only on two occasions, as I was in denial from the magnitude of my experience, I personally have received support from Lichfield Pathway Projects during a challenging time and experienced the warmth, support and simply the ease of accessing support if you wish to receive it in my local area.
Lucy -The amazing fundraisers people are creating all over the UK has really inspired me to give back too. I wanted to choose a cause that offers incomparable support to vulnerable people and also one that welcomes not only women but all adults and children too. I also wanted to support a smaller charity which may not have the funding, marketing and scale of larger charities but offer the same life-changing help.
Please show your support by sponsoring us to complete 10K, everyday for 10 days to raise money to help Pathway Projects to get closer to reaching their relief fund target.
"Pathway started from absolutely nothing by one of the most amazing strong willed women; Kathy Coe MBE. We've been here for over 20 years and we want to be around for another 20 years! The work we do is VITAL, but unfortunately securing funding is becoming harder and harder. Please help us in such a time of uncertainty."
