Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page which has been set up in order to help raise funds to improve Lewis's quality of life.
We have chosen 'Life for Lewis' charity because it is close to our hearts as Lewis is Maya's neighbour.
Lewis was born in November 2002. He was diagnosed with West Syndrome at 3 months of age. This has since developed into a condition called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). LGS is a rare and extremely severe form of epilepsy with multiple seizure types which causes severe global developmental delay.
Lewis can have 100’s of different seizures every day and his condition is resistant to any medication or therapies which have been tried. He also is severely disabled and unable to do anything for himself relying on his parents, Gary and Lexi for all his personal care needs. He requires 24 hour care on a daily basis and his parents have both had to give up work to look after him.

On 8th September, 2018, we will be taking on the 100km/62 mile Thames Path Challenge from Putney Bridge to Henley-on-Thames. We are aiming to complete it in approximately 22 hours. Our target is to raise £620 which would equal £10 for every mile we walk.
