I am raising money for a good cause this April. I have set myself a goal to run 100km in April to raise money for Dumfries and Galloway charity - The Food Train that provides an essential service in the community by delivering vital weekly food/grocery supplies and providing social interaction to frail and vulnerable older people in self-isolation.
This is a very big challenge for me as I have never run 100km in one month yet. I try to go running but sometimes I really lack motivation. It is not going to be easy and there will be times when I will not want to get my running shoes on, but that's where your help comes in. Your donations will keep me motivated, come rain or shine.
I am doing this because our older generation is always in need of support, even more so in these though times. Any one of us could become alone in our order age with no support so please donate to help me raise as much as possible for a good cause!
I will be posting updates and the progress of my challenge on here and on my Facebook Page. I will be sharing this using Strava Fitness Tracker and I also will post at least one picture and/or a short video from each run. My Facebook Page can be found by using Facebook search and typing @100kmfoodtrain.
You'll be helping me to make it count. Together we can do it better.
