Story
Colleagues from Breast Cancer Now's Wales office are fundraising in memory of our much-loved and missed friend Tracey. I have decided to drag my trainers out of the wardrobe and attempt to run 100K in March.
The Breast Cancer Now Cymru team lost a dear friend and colleague in April 2020 and we want to raise money in her memory for a cause we all know she was so passionate about. Tracey was an incredibly driven, compassionate and inspirational woman who was determined to improve outcomes for people with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
As we can’t get together physically at the moment to remember and celebrate Tracey’s life we’re going to be holding a number of events and challenges over the next few months as a way of honouring her memory and of course raising some money too.
We are taking part in the £1000 Challenge for Breast Cancer Now, raising vital funds for secondary breast cancer research.
The coronavirus has had a devastating impact on this research - slowing momentum and pausing progress. They’ve lost more than 100 days in their labs. 100 days of world-class research. 100 days o innovations.
We’re joining Breast Cancer Now’s research revolution and aiming to raise £1000 by 31st July 2021 to help bring us closer to the day where everyone with secondary breast cancer lives and lives well.
