Story
I'm taking part in Stream for Stroke - a great way for people who love gaming and livestreaming to help raise vital funds for stroke survivors.
Ever since I started streaming my goal has been to do a charity stream. I've wanted a fun way for people to do good together, raising money and awareness for a great cause and what better place to start than with Stroke.
5 years ago my Step Dad passed away after suffering multiple transient ischaemic attacks (TIA) or "mini strokes" which lead up to 2 strokes in under a year. During this time he lost all control of his left hand side and went from living independently to needing constant care and assistance. He was a big man with an even bigger heart and humor that would make someone laugh at the most inappropriate times. Strokes have torn an irreplaceable hole in my family in an instant but luckily their are organizations like Stroke to help.
Stroke has invested millions into stroke research covering all areas related to stroke treatment and care. Their goal is to improve how to prevent a stroke from happening but also treat and support stroke survivors to rebuild their lives.
So join me from the 22nd to the 28th May for 100 hours of streaming. We'll be starting every day at 7am BST where we'll play games, have fun and raise awareness for this fantastic cause!
