Story
This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. The first day of the conflict remains the bloodiest day in the history of the British Army with over 57,000 casualties. To mark this, ths Savings Development Centre in the Nationwide Building Society will run a 24-hour event over the 10-11 November called 100 for 100.
2 Teams of up to 8 (the size of a Rifle Section) are challenged to cover 100 miles in 24hrs as a combined effort. This could be done in a number of ways: triathlon, run, rowing etc.
The challenge will start at 10am on Thursday 10th Nove and must be completed by 10.55am on Friday 11th Nov when we'll hold a 2 minute silence.
