Story
Hello!
As you *might* know, I decided to become a running girlie 2 months ago. Running (slowly jogging) 5k once a week. I very quickly developed shin splints and had to stop, since then, I've been running slower, actually warming up/cooling down and even purchased some swanky new trainers..
I then had a brilliant idea of running a half marathon! hazaah! This is actually quite scary because I really am a rubbish runner, not just physically, I just find it quite boring after 15 minutes.
THEN WHY SILLY GOOSE, I hear you ask?
The Wren Project <3
The Wren Project provides free, ongoing, 1-1 listening support for people diagnosed with autoimmune disease, and in a period of distress living with their condition. With the support of highly trained volunteers who actively listen to people that are struggling, the charities Wrens have a variety of autoimmune diseases who need support emotionally and mentally to combat day to day life with their disease.
My friend, Kate, started The Wren Project and is my hero. She is a total badass and I feel privileged to know her. Her resilience is remarkable and sometimes slightly bonkers, I think the least I can do is run 5k 4 times...ish.
SO, I have 2 months to train/change my mind and hopefully stop vaping, I'd really appreciate any donation. If I can get £1 off all my family members I might just be able to hit my target.
I'd also love for you to come cheer me on, not because I'm attention seeking (slightly) but I really do think this might be the last time I do any form of running.
I love you already if you read all of that!
Livy xx
