Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
We decided to do this cycle ride in memory of Oliver Griffin who died suddenly on 2nd Feb 2008. He and his girlfriend Kate were due to be moving to Paris in September for a year and so this cycle seemed to be a fitting tribute to him. Plus Olly would have found it hilarious that Kate would even attempt anything this active!
When we cycle to Paris, we will be cycling about 290 miles over 4 days (aaagh!). That's over 10x the length of a marathon! So please be generous and support us in any way you can.
We have been training intensively, although Kate is still refusing to wear lycra, and we have cycled the Tour de Vale on 8th June, (55 miles), and the Chiltern Challenge 100k (which actually turned out to be 67miles) as part of the rigourous training schedule that Anna is subjecting Kate to!
We've been overwhelmed by the support we have received so far and we want to raise as much as we possibly can, so please keep donating by sponsoring us or organising an event in Olly's memory. He loved fancy dress, drinking, dancing and being surrounded by the people he loved.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
