Pauline was a very special person. She spread joy and kindness throughout her life, even when she was very ill. 

Over the last few months, she received a great deal of care, advice and support from many staff at Southend Hospital.

The care and understanding provided by all the nursing staff, doctors and support teams has been unfailingly fantastic. Accepting how much she needed their expertise, she spoke movingly of how comfortable, safe and well-cared-for she felt. In the last few weeks she told us happily about the time she spent building Lego with Frank in the Elizabeth Loury ward.

In addition to this recent care, Pauline had numerous interactions with the hospital throughout her life - not least while having Frank via a difficult and precarious delivery.

We are keen to show our gratitude and thanks to the hospital staff and to honour Pauline's memory by asking you to donate here.
