Story
Many of us are enduring this lockdown have been able to do so in the comfort of our homes where food is accessible to us at all times. This is not the case for millions of South Africans living in extreme poverty in some of our informal settlements and communities.
In Cottonlands bordering LIV Durban where an estimated 20,000 people live and Joe Slovo the informal settlement bordering LIV Lanseria families were already struggling to survive. Community leaders and our staff staying in these communities have informed us that many families are now suffering. Children and their parents have run out of food and are literally starving.
We believe God is asking us to feed the poorest of the poor in these communities.
Through generous local and overseas donors we have already raised over £6,000. We humbly ask you if you will consider giving £20 (or $20 or €20 or R400) to help feed these desperate families. £20 (or the equivalent) will feed a family of five for two weeks. If you are unable to give £20 then 20 people giving £1 will feed a family. Please give what you are able to.
Partner with us and become “His hands and feet” as we feed the poorest of the poor in SA.
