About First Give
First Give works in partnership with schools to deliver a high-quality, fully resourced programme designed to inspire young people to make a positive difference to causes they care about, through social action.
Young people who take part in social action develop the skills, confidence and experiences that will support them to go on to further education, training and employment. More broadly, the programme contributes to the development of the social actors of the future, who will go on to tackle social issues, including educational inequality.
Through First Give (FG), young people develop key skills and cultivate their own sense of social responsibility, empathy, self-efficacy and confidence.
The FG programme is delivered in curriculum time to a full year group, making it highly inclusive - regardless of students' ability or socio-economic background.
Our vision is motivated and equipped young people using their skills to make the lives of others better.
