4th October2009 I DID IT 

I completed the Budapest marathon in 5 hrs 1 min 21 secs(my timing) & in 28c.

I,m delighted to have achieved this but will definately NEVER do it again !

10 years ago today our Daughter Elizabeth,lost her fight against leukeamia.She was just 5 years old.

To commemerate Beths life I have pledged to run a marathon & to raise money for the charity 'CLICSargent'

                                             -  Caring for Children with Cancer.

Every 24 hours 10 children are diagnosed with cancer & Leukaemia. Currently 7/10 survive.

                                                      How your donation can help-

£5.00 could buy finger puppets which will help a CS Play Specialist explain treatments to young children.

£10.00 provides parents within CSs 'Little Denim Book',a filofax of invaluable hospital information.

£20.00 helps buy blood sample kits for CS Nurses to take on home visits,saving a family round trip to hospital .

£50.00 means a CS Social Worker can be there for a family soon after diagnosis.

£1,000 means a family can enjoy a holiday together,taking a break from treatment at Malcolm Sargent House in       Ayrshire

We have received much love & support over the past 10 years in fundraising for CLIC for which I am extremly grateful.
