Fiona always loved the world of horses and despite having a very serious accident at a young age horses and racing were a key part of her life. She rode when maybe she should not have, she trained a fantastic point to point horse, she was DC of the Hambledon Pony Club and then in her later years she followed racing and it brought many hours of happiness to her.

Despite the pain from the injury she was a fantastic wife, an adoring mother and a great friend to many. She never let the pain get the better of her but it was always there so the Injured Jockey Fund has a real resonance with her.
