Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page, I know you probably receive a lot of fundraising requests, so I really appreciate you taking the time to pop by.

Why the Stroke Association?

After loosing my Nan last year to a Stroke I have wanted to do something in her memory and raise money for the Stroke Association. They fund research in developing new treatments and ways of preventing stroke.  They also support stroke survivors to make the best recovery they can.

Why the Bupa London 10,000?

It had to be something active, as my Nan always wanted to be a PE teacher but her life took a different direction.  She was always full of energy, even in her later years.

After a 2 year break from running due to various injuries and a loss of mojo, I decided to put on my trainers and join a running club.  After 3 months I can now run 5km in 40 minutes, not my best time but it is an improvement to where I was a few months ago sitting on the sofa! This event will be pushing me back to fitness and the memory of my Nan will keep me going in training and on the day.

I hope to make my Nan proud.
