Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My sister and I are taking part in walk with the stars for The Hospice of St Francis.  We are doing this in memory of our Dear Dad who had a short stay there last year.  My Dad enjoyed his time there.  The staff at this hospice are not recognised enough for the work they do to help people that need it.  They are willing to do anything to meet the patiants needs.  The staff were extremely kind and would not only meet the needs of their patients but their patients families too.

The hospice of St Francis is not recognised for the great work it does to help others.  The hospice has 14 rooms but is only able to open 11 of them because the hospice is only funded one third from the goverment and are not able to fund all of the rooms and the equiptment in them. They need all the help they can get to be able to do this, every little helps.

Fundraising can help the hospice by:

1.  £30 will pay for 12 smoothie drinks for patients with poor appetites.

2.  £50 will pay for a tank of pertol, keeping specialist home care nurses on the road for 2weeks.

3.  £100 will pay for one nurse's 7.5 hour shift on the in patient unit.

4.  £150  will pay for a six week course of therapy for a child coping with the loss of a loved one.

5.  £300 will pay for 3 home visits by specialist home care nurses.

6.  £500 will pay for a full morning shift for an in patient nurse

7.  £1000 will pay for a syringe driver for medicine for patiants

Every contribution made can help the hospice be able to get things that they need desperately but don't have the funding for.
