Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Farleigh JustGiving page!

We, as the collective Farleigh House, are aiming to travel over 1347 miles; this is the distance between all of the places that the Mango Tree work within Kenya and Tanzania. This will be done by each member of the house travelling around 30 miles each - all within 24 hours! Through the use of rowing, running and cycling, money will be contributed to help support the Mango Tree foundation and its development.

Well, what is the Mango Tree? The Mango Tree is an orphanage located in Kenya and Tanzania that provides aid to children that have lost one or both parents to AIDS and are under the poverty line. It uses donations to provide classrooms, toilets, books, desks and a number of other smaller items, for those in need. By developing projects and programmes that strive to build independence and community engagement, Mango Tree enable orphans, vulnerable children and their families to access opportunities and access education previously unattainable - creating a brighter future for those in need!
