About Families Supporting Care
In 2011 friends of Woodlands and Hill Brow set up the registered charity Families Supporting Care.
The aim of the charity is to help support residents whose funds diminish during their stay alongside providing additional relief as required. Over the last 10 years the charity has helped over 60 residents stay in their chosen care home. The charity is independently managed by the trustees, all of whom have experienced a loved one in care and can often be seen volunteering around the homes. Funds are generally raised through a number of social events held throughout the year. The charity also receives individual donations from relatives and residents which help the charity fulfil its aim.
