Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. If you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
I appreciate we are living in difficult times at the moment, but for those who are able I would like to share details of an educational fundraiser to enable students at Africa with Love School, to take their Ugandan national exams.
I have supported and visited this school over the past 16 years, and can assure you of the authenticity and need which is present. Without external support the students I am seeking to help do not have the money to take their exams and risk dropping out of school.
Students are hoping to either sit their end of primary school exams (after 9 years of study) which are the equivalent of £20 per student, or their equivalent GCSE or A Levels which are £55 per student. If you are able to help contribute to support these students that would be so wonderful, and will enable them to continue with their education.
The school has excellent Ugandan teachers who are funded through supporters of the small UK charity. This input helps support steady educational progress despite the challenging circumstances of many students, which for many include eating one meal a day and walking hours to and from school in all weathers. Uganda is a vibrant country with many employment opportunities, taking national exams is therefore a huge boost to their future life options.
I have raised funds for this cause for the past 5 years, and thanks to the generosity of many, all students needing support have taken their exams, and amazingly all have passed.
The money to register students for the exams is needed by the end of November, and the exams will be taken in April of 2021. If you know of anyone else who may be interested in donating I would be grateful if you could please share this fundraiser.
