Story

Since discovering the Endeavour Punishers, my life has gotten a lot brighter!!

Having multiple health conditions relapsing at the same time took a massive toll on my mental health and was taking me back down a very deep, dark, slippery hole.

Until one day, Armed Forces Day, in Plymouth. Being an ex-service persons partner in life I love to attend these types of events with him. To support him in the ways that he needs in the times that things get too much for him to bear himself. To walk (figuratively in my case) beside him through life.

While wondering around the event, we had already managed to find something he's been looking for for a very long time, anything with his crest on, and we continued around the stalls.

We walked/rolled past and I was looking for the Help For Heroes tent in case they had any merchandise. They didn't, but what the tent did have were some people from the Endeavour Punishers team. They noticed I was in a wheelchair and came to speak to us. It sounded like fun, but not something I was probably into, but I wanted to see the display they were going to put on later that day. It was electric and I loved watching it! Still wasn't sure it was something I could do though.

I was apprehensive at first but my husband was encouraging me to at least try out a session, so we went. I haven't looked back since. My mental health has got better and better with time going on, I even took place in the finals of the GB tournament!! My upper body strength is very slowly increasing, my legs not so but the training, the tournaments, the camaraderie within the team for me is 2nd to NONE!

With my husbands support, and the team by my side. I know, that whatever gets thrown at me, I can take and throw it back!

The team have given ME back to me and my family. I have my spark back. And now it's time for me to give back to the team. We are raising funds as a team to help to purchase equipment to keep the team rolling. To help pay for training venues, equipment costs (which believe me, are not cheap!), to keep the wheels turning so to speak. In 2019 they came second in the British Championships!!

Please help me, to help them <3

Desperately seeking funds for the club to purchase equipment and off set training costs. The team is made up of wounded or injured in service veterans. At present we don't have enough wheelchairs for the whole team to train at any one time. Due to covid 19 we have lost some sponsorship we have also lost our training venue which has raised our running costs. We have disabled veterans who cant afford their own wheelchair due to such high cost the club need more chairs so more veterans can play. 2019 we came second at the British championships
