Story

Hello there,

Geoff and Sumit are planning the latest madcap ELN adventure, which is to ride from London to Yorkshire visiting as many different kinds of power station as possible.

We believe the energy sector is great. Reporting on it and meeting the people working on it has confirmed it has a lot of POSITIVE things that are often ignored. So we want to show how energy is vital to what we do and how we live.

What better way than to try and visit lots of different kinds of power station across the country from coal and biomasss to nuclear, wind and solar. Our route will snake its way up from London to Yorkshire. We have a provisional route planned BUT if you have a suggestion of a place you want us to visit let us know.

We're raising money for Parkinson's UK because Sumit's dad suffered with the disease for a decade before passing away in 2003. We will raise 10k to help with research to try and find a way to stop other lives being devastated by this condition.

So please donate and give what you can. We're also looking for support along the way and if you fancy riding a leg or two (we're planning to ride 60 miles a day for seven days) please let us know, we'd love to have you come along.

Here's to what we hope will be the first of many ELN Power Rides for years to come!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
