Over the period 15-24 June 2014 I will be cycling unsupported and solo from Land's End in Cornwall to John O'Groats in Scotland.  

I aim to raise at least £3000 to be split between two very worthy charities.  The money raised will be shared between the Royal British Legion and the Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service (LIVES).

The Royal British Legion is well known for its support of Service personnel, veterans and their families.

LIVES is a voluntary 'first responder' organisation providing emergency response throughout Lincolnshire.  LIVES volunteers will often reach an incident before ambulance crews are able to arrive due to the County's rural surroundings.

The shortest distance from Land's End to John O'Groats (or LEJOG) is recognised as 874 miles.  However, for safety and legal reasons I will be cycling along quieter roads.  I am putting the finishing touches to the route but the final distance will be close to 925 miles.  I intend to cover the distance in 10 days averaging approximately 90-100 miles per day with around 7-8 hours per day 'in the saddle.'
