Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April 2016 we heard the words that no parent should ever have to hear...that our beautiful, vibrant 4 year old daughter had cancer.  Not just cancer, but a type of brain tumour that no one has ever survived.  Only 2 weeks before we had been planning her 5th birthday party, and now we were being told that we would lose her within a year. On 7th April 2017 we said our goodbyes, and our hearts shattered into a million pieces.

Eva continues to live on through the charity Eva's Angels.  We offer holidays to families affected by childhood cancer.  By getting away from hospitals and doctors for a few days by the sea, allows families to reconnect and enjoy some family time together.  We are fundraising for a second holiday home so we can reach out to more families in 2019.  Please help us help them!

On 14th April 2019 a team of us will be running 26.2 miles for Eva....myself included! If Eva can still smile everyday through her battle, then I can run a marathon.

Eva’s Angels is a charity lovingly dedicated to our beautiful five year old daughter Eva Giles who lost her battle to Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) a rare childhood brainstem tumour, in April 2017. Eva’s Angels provides short breaks in a caravan in Whitstable, Kent, to families who are affected by childhood cancer. Families can enjoy a short holiday by the sea to escape daily life, and hospital appointments. We will also target promising brain tumour research projects to fund as we grow.
