We fund research in Prader-Willi Syndrome to give hope for a brighter future

Story

I am Walking for Wolfie this April in the 2024 Kilt Walk.  I am doing the mighty stride from Glasgow Green to Balloch (approx 23 miles) to raise funds for FPWR UK, the only PWS charity that focuses on funding research into medications and therapies to help people living with Prader Willi Syndrome.

PWS is a rare genetic syndrome affecting around 1 in 20,000. Little is known or understood about the syndrome, or what causes its unique set of symptoms. FPWR is trying to change that, and the future for Wolfe and people like him.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The mission of Foundation for Prader-Willi Research UK (FPWR UK) is to eliminate the challenges of Prader-Willi Syndrome through the advancement of research. High quality research will lead to more effective treatments and an eventual cure for this disorder. FPWR UK was founded in 2010 by parents of children with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
