Therapies Unite works to improve the well-being, independence, integration and inclusion of people with disabilities living in Mexico.
Our main aim is to support people who need help through the provision of skilled and qualified professional volunteers, dedicated specialist care, training and equipment. We work in deprived areas where poverty and limited medical care are a reality of everyday life. Through our support and professional expertise, we aim to make a long-lasting difference to people's lives while benefiting the wider community.
All of the projects we run focus on empowering local people to set up or to develop existing services in order to help the local disabled community. As well as setting up and running our own independent projects, we also support the development of existing rehabilitation services at special needs schools, disabled children’s centres, physiotherapy clinics, elderly care homes and we also work with the local Government to improve access to therapeutic support, education and advice.
We are always thinking about how we can make long term changes and through focusing on education and supporting local people we feel we are able to make the differences that are needed to help improve the lives of people with disabilities.
