Hello!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
After a Friday night out and copious amounts of red wine and gin (not at the same time!) I woke up on the Saturday morning to memories of agreeing to a 10K run. At the time it seemed like a good thing, like most things do after a few drams!
I work in the child welfare sector and our organisation has decided to raise money for Who cares? Scotland to enable a Scottish child a trip of a lifetime by supporting them on the Celebrating Success Challenging Stigma 2009 Fund raising Trek in Nepal. Working in collaboration with Community/Action Nepal and participating local authorities Who Cares? Scotland is offering young people, their workers and supporters the opportunity to plan and work towards an amazing experience that will give them a completely different perspective on their lives. At the same time they will also be helping to improve the health and education of the people of Nepal and supporting the work of Who Cares? Scotland.
This trip will be all about helping young people gain experiences and helping them on the next stage of their life. We are going to be helping two young boys in their fund raising efforts and they will provide us with updates of their experiences in preparation for the trip. They will also blog their experiences of the trip itself.

This is a real challenge for me as the last time I ran properly was probably from a security guard at Glastonbury Festival in '97 when I tried to jump the fence! However I very much doubt it is as big as some of the challenges the children involved with Who Cares? Scotland have faced in their young lives.
Thank you so much for your donation, I will certainly suffer for it!
