Mum holds a very special place in our hearts and in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She was always kind and thoughtful and seemed incapable of having a bad word about anyone. She lived for her 3 girls and and was happy to see her 5 grand-children growing up into young adults. She had a long and happy marriage to Bill and never really got over his death, but even after his death she always greeted her girls, their partners and their children with a beaming smile and a hug (even when the government forbade such activity!)  and waved them off from the window each time their car pulled away.

Mum wanted a simple funeral and would not have wanted mountains of flowers. Instead, she would have loved donations to go to the charity Abbie's Sparkle Foundation which was set up in memory of the tragic death of her best friend Jen's grand-daughter to support children with cancer across the UK. If you would like to pay your respects to our wonderful mother please do it through donating to Abbie's Sparkle Foundation rather than through sending flowers.
