In Aug 2015 I will be trekking along one of the worlds most amazing man made structures over 6 days to raise money for charity.

The MotherKind Appeal provides essential maternity services for the mothers to be of Afghanistan. A nation torn by poverty, war and conflict.

Everyday approx 800 women die from preventable pregnancy and birthing related problems. 
Here 66% of births are unattended, 93% of births occur alone at home with no midwife or healthcare attendant. 50% of newborn deaths occur at home. 40% of women go without any antenatal care for the full 9 months. The minimum in the UK is 4 visits.

We can prevent over 85% of maternal deaths by supporting this cause. For the mothers and babies suffering, please give what you can.
