Story

Moniack Mhor is expanding its reach with an eco-friendly tutorial building. The one-story structure will be located between the main house and cottage, with two pod-shaped spaces to be used for one-to-one tutorials and personal writing time. A dividing curtain can also be pulled back to reveal a larger area for performances and group work. More information about the building specifics can be found on the Moniack Mhor website.

Currently, the Centre facilities lack space for participants to work quietly with tutors and reflect on their writing. This development will provide that to everyone who passes through Moniack Mhor, from school and cultural groups to budding and well-established authors.

Please help Moniack Mhor make this building project a reality! Its sustainability will help nurture Scotland's vibrant creative writing tradition for years to come.

RCN SC030292
Moniack Mhor Writers’ Centre supports literary and artistic growth in the UK and beyond through creative writing courses held at our Centre in the Scottish Highlands and on an outreach basis. Writers of every age, ability and background benefit from working with published authors, including schools groups and mental health service users, in workshops and one-on-one discussions. Your donation would support our mission to nurture personal growth through the written word by providing essential repairs to the Centre buildings, necessary capital developments and opportunities to help under-represented writers find their voice.
