Story
The staff from paediatric critical care have experienced the wonderful work that Noah’s Ark charity provides to help the children and families at our hospital.
During this pandemic raising funds is proving to be a challenge, especially for our team who provide life saving treatment for some of the sickest children in Wales. The children we care for need some of the most intensive and complex therapies available, and an admission to our unit can be extremely stressful and distressing for the children and their families. Through the charity we are able to support the family and provide additional resources to make their experience less stressful.
To encourage and promote staff health and well being, and as part of the larger team at the children’s hospital, we have to decided to embark on the Noah’s Ark step challenge.
Our team will attempt to see how many times we can walk the length of Wales in 4 weeks starting Monday 4th of May 2020. This will be done whilst at work, and as part of our hourly exercise during our days off.
Every penny is much appreciated and will go towards helping us to provide the best possible care for the children of Wales.
