Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since I was 7 years old, I have suffered from a hearing loss, which unfortunately resulted in me having to rely on my hearing aids since, otherwise... Well, I'd be pretty deaf wouldn't I! I've been lucky to receive support from my loved ones, as well as the professionals.
It has become important to me to help raise awareness and a career ambition to help individuals overcome daily barriers.
This year I won the regional passionate volunteer award for my dedication and passion towards the charity.
Last year I ran up the BT Tower in London (842 steps in 13 minutes). This year I will be running up 46 floors, 888 steps! I love a good challenge! I raised £950 last year and this year I am determined to beat that and raise £1000. I am extremely grateful to each and every one of you who kindly donated. It means a lot.
The Action On Hearing Loss charity is important to me because it supports biomedical research for both tinnitus (constant ringing ears) and hearing loss, which both I unfortunately suffer from. Hopefully one day they can work towards finding a cure!
