Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you will be aware, my sister Laura, was diagnosed with bladder cancer in November 2018.
She underwent surgery, chemotherapy and ultimately immunotherapy. However bravely Laura fought the disease, coupled with the best efforts of the NHS, she sadly passed away in February 2020.
Laura was a truly kind, inspirational and incredibly brave human, who simply wanted to make the world a better place. She always helped others, and often her acts of kindness went under the radar.
As she was battling her cancer and immunotherapy was set to cost the NHS £11,000 a dose, every three months. Laura started her own JustGiving page to raise money to help pay forward the treatment she received. This has inspired me to aim for the same.
I'm running my first marathon, independently, on her birthday, 19 September. So 100 days to go, it's only £110 a day!
Thank you in advance for your support.
This is for you, Laura x
