Story
Ok.... So i'm
running from London to Brighton. I know crazy! On
the 23 May 2015 I will take part in the London2Brighton Ultra
Marathon a distance of 100k (62.5 miles) and I will be raising funds
for The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF)
As
i am doing this i thought i would do it for a good cause. Lt
John ‘JT’ Thornton RM, from Ferndown, Dorset, was tragically
killed in southern Afghanistan on 30th March 2008. John achieved
an incredible amount in his short but amazing life. He climbed
Mount Kilimanjaro, flew with the Red Arrows, travelled across New
Zealand, qualified as a sky diver and worked in both Iraq and
Afghanistan as an Officer in the Royal Marines.
After his tragic death, his parents (Peter and Linda Thornton) set up the JTYAF in his memory. The aim of the foundation is to support young people in a wide range of youth organisations and provides them with scholarships to support their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.
So don't be tight support the cause a £1 each would be good, £10 would be even better...
Seriously every little bit helps.
Many thanks! i suppose i best get running.
