Myself and 15 other fools are cycling from Poole to Le Mans on June 10th 2009. This is by all estimations about 5000 miles (and works out to 70 miles a day), the equivalent, apparently, of running a marathon. We will arrive in several different states of distress to enjoy the 24 hours Le Mans car race which we will miss due to sleeping and prolonged perineal submersion in ice. We would like to raise money for 2 local charities (50% to each): Lewis Manning Hospice benefits terminally ill people in Poole and Bournemouth, as well as patients with lymphoedema and breathlessness, and Julia's House which specialises in care for terminally ill children. Their links are: Julias House: http://demo2.adido.org.uk/home.aspx Lewis Manning Hopsice: http://www.lewis-manning.co.uk/ Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lewis-Manning Hospice gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now!
