Story
Thank you for stopping by. Every single penny that is raised from this event is helping to keep the memory of Sam alive and most importantly, helping Sue Ryder to continue supporting people like Sam and their families come to terms with the tragic times they may face.
Sam Fairman was the most fun loving, lively upbeat person you could ever want to meet. One who could lighten up your day with just the twinkle in her eye. She loved her friends, she loved her family, she loved her partner and she loved her life - even if it did throw a massive curve-ball her way. We both turn 30 over the same weekend: June 27th and 28th 2014. In 2007 she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and sadly lost her battle in 2012.
Sam always said that she admired how I was able to carry on as if nothing was going on and I promised that we would do something for our birthdays. You only turn 30 once, she would remind me (She also reminded me that she might not make it, which at the time we both hoped wouldn't be the case) - We wanted to do something like Ibiza.
Well, as it's this year, I have a promise to keep. That's why the next DAYATHALON is going to be in her memory, held on her 30th birthday to celebrate the life of the most incredible person I ever had the privilege to know and to raise money for Sue Ryder, who were fantastic in caring for her.
From midnight until midnight on June 28th, I'll complete another 24 hour DJ set, playing Sam's favourite music genre: Dance / Trance / Hardcore / Techno.. Dayathalon will take place at The Westgate in her memory - and celebrate in the only way we know how. So, I'll please need your support to raise awareness of this one. I want to at least do her memory justice.
