I MADE IT!
Despite carrying silly injuries, I managed to complete the 26.2 miles of the course of the Edinburgh Marathon 2011 in 4:17:43.
A massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far... and if you were waiting on seeing if I could do it, you've got your answer now!
I ran in aid of the British Heart Foundation. Those of you who know me will remember I lost my Nana to heart failure in June 2006. Heart and circulatory disease is the UK's biggest killer. In 2007, cardiovascular disease (CVD) caused 34% of deaths in the UK. Within the UK, Scotland has the highest mortality rate from Coronary Heart Disease.
I believe the BHF to be an excellent charity to run for in an effort to raise awareness of heart disease.
To try and avoid having to turn up at people's doors to collect sponsorship money, I have set up this clean and easy page to submit your donations!
Any and all donations are gratefully received!
