After returning from another tour in Afghanistan and watching the amazing and inspirational documentory about two wounded soliders who had lost limbs, I have decided to do my part (as have many others) to raise some money for Help for Heroes.

I am taking part in the 2010 Jungle marathon, a 200km self sufficient race which snakes through the Amazon rain forest, Brazil. My training has already started and the milage will increase over the months. I will take advantage of the heat and terrain in Cyprus where I will be serving with the United Nations prior to the race which takes place in October.

I am constantly inspired by the work of our armed forces and more by the amazing people who care for our wounded and support their families. My thoughts are always with these people and it pushes me on during my training to make sure I do well in the race.

I would also like to thank my own great family who put up with me and worry when I am away. To take part in a race like this you need a good admin team, they are mine. so thanks to you all, now lets raise some money for a super cause.
