PERMISSION TO SPEAK

On Sunday 5th April at 7:30pm GMT we invite you to join us on our Facebook page for Dad's Army Radio Show: On Air - The HOME Front Edition. A special recording of the last ever episode 'Never Too Old'. Bringing the stage show to your home!

Two actors, two living rooms, over twenty characters - and lots of sound effects! Perry and Croft's classic BBC sitcom brought gloriously to life in this one-off performance of the last ever episode 'Never Too Old'.

David Benson (Goodnight Sweetheart and One Man, Two Guvnors) and Jack Lane (Wisdom of a Fool and 7 Days) transport the audience right back to Walmington-on-Sea. Complete with sound effects, vintage music and all of Perry and Croft’s beloved characters and catchphrases. Highly acclaimed by critics and by audiences of all ages.

Everyone involved is donating their time to help bring a much needed smile to people's homes. We simply ask, if you can, for a donation towards our chosen charity, Acting For Others. Find out more about them below.

To ensure everyone has the opportunity to view this episode it will be available for 24 hours on our Facebook page.

Curtain calls and cries of Encore! the end to a perfect night at the theatre. However it isn't always the perfect ending for the ill, injured or elderly who can no longer work and now find themselves in need. Thats where ACTING FOR OTHERS steps out from the wings and into the limelight. For every successful performer, there are hundreds of actors, dancers, musicians, lighting technicians, scene painters, wardrobe staff, front of house, backstage staff who are not so fortunate. They may be suffering from illness, injury, be caring for a child with special needs, or have reached an age when they simply can no longer work to support themselves or make ends meet. Acting for Others is made up of 15 individual theatrical charities each with their own remit. Between us we offer financial and emotional assistance and support to those in the entertainment profession who have fallen on hard times. The member charities dispense over £2 million to hundreds of people within the industry.
