Story
Inspiration to take part in the D of E Challenge? I attended the Gold Awards in May and heard people talking about it - it's about doing something you usually wouldn't and pushing your comfort zone boundaries.
Between the 23rd Sept and 6th November I have a trio of crazy things going on that will push me totally out of my comfort zone...
On 23rd September I completed the Camelot Challenge, a half marathon through the hills of Somerset and Dorset.
On 29th September, I jumped out of a perfectly working aircraft in Salisbury from 15,000ft!
And throughout October, I will be completing the 271 mile Trafalgar Way (the route taken by Lieutenant Lapenotière from HMS Pickle, taking news of victory at Trafalgar and of Nelson's death) from Pendennis Point, Falmouth to the Admiralty in London, finishing on 6th November around 0100 all going well (the time Lt Lapenotiere reached The Admiralty after completing this exact route)!
I think all three of these will be pushing me out of all possible comfort zones, so if you would like to donate any amount to help more young people who otherwise could not get involved with the life changing Duke of Edinburgh's Award, then please do!
