Story

BREAKING NEWS:      Saturday June 14th : 5.30pm local time

After 305 miles, 5 punctures, 3 new inner tubes, 1 new tyre and 4 seasons of weather in 4 days, "Team Amazing Grace" have arrived  in Paris at the Eiffel Tower!

This fantastic challenge really pushed all our limits, both physically and mentally, but we are very proud to report that, with Grace in our hearts, we all made it safely to Paris in one piece.

Huge thanks go to everyone for your tremendous support along the way, especially to our friends and family.

Please take a moment to remember little Grace and watch the short video Jim has put together of our classic French cycling adventure.

We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed riding our bikes from London to Paris!

Pedal on!

Stuart, Mike, Clive, Jim & Matt - aka "Team Amazing Grace"

First Entry: 12th January 2008

London to Paris Cycle Challenge - 11-15 June 2008

On 11th June 2008, "Team Amazing Grace" will be pedalling off in search of Paris (nearly 300 miles away!)  in order to raise money for COSMIC.

COSMIC (Children Of St Mary's Intensive Care) is the small charity that supports the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.

We will be raising money in memory of little Grace Bradburn who died on 24th April 2007, aged 13 months.  Please visit www.justgiving.com/gracebradburn to read about Grace's story, and learn about the work of COSMIC.

Our team members are Grace's Dad - Stuart, her Grandad "Noonee", her Uncle Mike and our great friends Matt Wain & Jim Cadman. The challenge begins on Day One in Greenwich, with a gruelling 90-mile slog down to Dover. Once across the Channel (by ferry!) Day Two takes us on to Abbeville in France & then Day Three up towards Beauvais. Day Four should see us arrive under the Eiffel Tower before sunset!

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep, sponsor us & tell all your friends...

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: COSMIC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, please "Gift Aid" your donation, so that an extra 28% in tax can be added to your donation at NO EXTRA COST to you.

Many thanks for your support.  Your donation will make a very real difference to many critically ill children and their families.

Cheers!

Stuart, Clive, Mike, Matt & Jim -
