My name is Zhasmin. I am a Tajik girl from a beautiful and mountainous country-Tajikistan.
I was studying English language very hard since my childhood. I used to watch English movies and cartoons, listen to English songs and go to English language courses to reach my aim and to study in US. Finally, that day has come. I went through the tough and stressful process of taking TOEFL and SAT exams, writing dozens of essays, completing common application and other requirements. However, it was all worth it. I was accepted to the Boise State University! The educational and living expenses at this university are a total of $36,000 US dollars per each year, which I cannot afford. Nonetheless, I applied for a scholarship that would have granted me in-state tuition. I was waiting day and night for the university’s positive reply, but unfortunately, I have not received this scholarship.
When my friends become to know about my fundraising page on facebook, most of them started laughing at me and tried to make me believe that people will not donate. Despite all of that I didn't lose hope, I believe and I rely on people's generosity and mercy. With each dollar that you will donate, my chances will be bigger to join the university, to get the right education, which will build me as a young independent woman who can bring changes to her community.
