Update 30/12/24: We want to thank everyone for their incredible generosity and kindness. We tried to disable further donations once the goal was reached but couldn’t find an option to do so, and it seems the page must stay active for 30 days. If anyone knows how to resolve this, we’d appreciate your help.

Manx Care has since confirmed they will cover the repatriation, despite earlier information. If you donated specifically for this, refunds can be requested via JustGiving—we never intended to mislead anyone and truly appreciate your understanding.

Some of Dad’s friends donated specifically to help the family, and many others have given to help our little sister as she navigates life without him. Others donated in lieu of flowers to support us, and we’re deeply touched by all your generosity.

Thank you all so much for your kind messages during this difficult time. The good outweigh the negative ones we’ve had the misfortune of seeing. To think anyone could put a negative spin on something set up so innocently in a moment of panic is a shame. We wouldn’t wish this situation upon anyone.

As many of you are aware, our Dad was hit by a car on the Isle of man on Saturday 21st December 2024. He was simply walking home to get ready to visit his daughters in the UK for Christmas.

He was airlifted to Liverpool hospital, but sadly, his injuries were unsurvivable and he died peacefully on Sunday 22nd December with his 5 daughters around him.

Anyone who knew our Dad knows how kind, funny, and respectful he was. He was loved by everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him. He will be missed beyond words could ever convey and his loss is insufferable.

Unfortunately, Dad didn't have any policies or insurances in place and this has left us worrying about how to pay for the funeral costs, of not only the funeral itself, but the repatriation to get him back to the island so he can be burried with his late wife, LiQuong.

We are aware that this is so close after Christmas and any amount you can spare is appreciated.
