Story
Here's the back story...
2019 was the first Christmas dinner we held for our local community. The reason behind this was because I had attended a community event *2 weeks before Christmas* where a lovely Macmillan nurse was asking if there were any local Christmas dinners happening in the area, unfortunately there was none.
The year previous to this was a very tough one for our family we spent our Christmas visiting our close relative in ICU it was a very different Christmas for us all and in that time I saw many people alone on this day that was ment to bring people together.
With the help of our whole town we manage to cook a beautiful Christmas dinner, with gifts for our guests, deliveries to the house bound and a team of wonderful volunteers giving festive cheer!
Unfortunately due to covid we were unable to do the event again untill this year!!!
We have already bagged a bigger venue which means, with the help of our town we will be able to cater for and reach out to as many people as possible who are in need over the Christmas period.
We understand this year is a particularly hard one with many people struggling financially, emotionally and dealing with significant loss. Every body deserves light in thier life's, to not feel alone and feeled loved.
That's the mission this year to spread the real meaning of Christmas, by bringing people together ❤️
This is all dependent on your support, any extra money will be given back to the community by means of food vouchers, toy donations, hygiene packages etc
Every little helps
Thankyou for reading our story please don't feel like you have to donate more than you can afford or anything at all if you ate struggling, just sharing the post would help or even volunteering on the day for an hour would be wonderful 😊
