Story
Louise has put up for sale a one off FIA World Rally Championship Trophy awarded her when she became FIA Production car Cup Champion for Drivers of 2WD in 2012. We don't want to see her loose this well deserved and treasured award.
£8,000 of entry fees has been raised on another funding page in just 5 days to enter the first round WRC Rally Sweden, Louise is still left with no option but to sell her beloved trophy to cover fees for the other stages.
Louise is seeking sponsors for the first event and the 2017 season in the WRC.
Louise got her first taste of driving when her late father, Robert Cook, bought her a battery powered car on her 6th birthday. Louise and her pet rabbit would drive round for hours until the battery went flat. Louise took out the conservatory twice, 2 garden fences and took the front axle clean off.
Louise’s first taste of rally driving was whilst studying Car Design at Coventry University. Louise entered a competition to win a drive and found herself an amazing 2nd place out of 1000 women, with no previous motorsport experience. This gave Louise the confidence to gain her rally licence and enter her first ever rally thanks to her student loan.
Louise, desperate to finance a way of starting a career in rallying came up with an idea to sell small spaces on her rally car with prizes. Daily walking around local industrial estates and Louise managed to find 300 supportive companies to help her with £50 this got Louise's first season and career underway in 2010.
Sacrifices had to be made; Louise sold her much loved Ford StreetKa road car to get to the 1st round, give up her secure full time job to commit fully and more recently sold her trophies on ebay all to fund her career.
