Story

We're raising money for the Woodlea's playground on Stretton Avenue. It is in a state of disrepair, with elements now removed and boarded up for safety. It is a well loved park for people on the Woodlea estate as well as from wider parts of Meanwood, and a frequent spot for childminders, during and after school visits.

We want to raise funds to create better, safer and accessible facilities for the children who use this well loved park.

We're a team of volunteers, and this appeal is part of the wider Meanwood Parks Playgrounds Appeals, and we are working to raise funds for our playgrounds in Meanwood. We have so far raised over £130k for Meanwood Park Playground and start work imminently on the first phases there, with further phases still to fund. We want to start raising funds for the Woodlea's playground next, so have started this appeal along with local consultation to try and create better play facilities.
