Story

On December 1st I'll be doing a dawn 'til dusk bike ride, with over 50% of the planned route on off-road bridleways, footpaths and trails. With just under 8 hours of daylight I'm hoping to cover over 100 miles throughout the day, making this my longest off-road ride.

It'll be December, it's going to be horrible outside, so let's make sure there's a warm sports club to go back to on the other side of this pandemic!

Who are Woodfield?

Woodfield Squash and Leisure is a non-profit family club here to support and provide a safe environment for the members of the public to enjoy. Setup by Rob Waller and Matt Hudson it's an extremely welcoming place to turn up to exercise or have a drink, with a great group of members and players.

With zero income currently entering the club, Woodfield have pleaded with the landlords to place a rent freeze during the forced closure, but this has fallen on deaf ears. Hopefully your sponsorship can help.

Woodfield not only gets people active within the club, it supports community projects, local schools and also welcomes patients in from the grounds, being based at the Tickhill Road Hospital site in Doncaster.

The club provides a warm welcome to everyone, no matter what level or ability you may be. Additional facilities such as a sports bar, shop, gym, sauna and exercise classes are also provided, with the club organising professional level exhibition matches throughout the year. It's a great club to be a part of.

All donations no matter how large or small are all welcomed, thank you for your support.

"The club has great following and amazing support and with the help of the community and this initiative we aim to continue providing for the good people of Yorkshire for many years to come." Rob Waller - Owner
