Story
For Willow-Raye du Plooy. You will never be forgotten.
Willow was on the face of it - a normal young lady in the prime of her life. Underneath she was battling Demons beyond anyones comprehention. Despite this, she always put on a brave face and you wouldn't have said there was anything wrong.
She was struggling with her mental health for as long as she could identify her emotions. She had the support and right hand of everyone in her family and a list of professionals too long to mention.
Willow was a breath of fresh air. She was my youngest, my baby girl. Willow, I loved you more than life itself. Her face lit up when she smiled and she had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. I was so proud of her. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She meant the world the universe to me and I will never get over losing her. Fly high my angel I will miss you terribly until we meet again." -- Tracey Michelle Russell -- Willow's Mother.
Willow's only mistake in life was to believe that there was nothing that could be done for her. She blamed herself for what she percieved to be 'wrong' with her and started blocking out the very people who were there to help support her. In her thoughts and with her demons she was very much alone.
Willow was diagnosed with EPD (Emotional Personality DIsorder) and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). The mental health professionals in charge of her care only arrived at this diagnosis recently. Following a Section 2 and then Section 3 admittance she was released back into the community to follow a community lead plan for recovery. This was where it went wrong for her and unfortunately the demons she was fighting won!
Of all the dreams a Father can have for his children. I would never for a moment have dreamt you would spend most of your life searching for the answers in your own head. I won't walk you down the aisle. I won't see you raise children. But when I look back on your photos and see your smile. My heart will be filled with the joy you brought to everyone's lives you were part of. When you get to where you are going - My only hope is that you find your peace. " -- Leon du Plooy -- Willow's Father.
If this funding exceeds the target all excess proceeds following the completion of the funeral costs and settling Willows affairs will go to Mental Health Charities - Response and MIND.
My sister was a very missunderstood, kind, loving and caring soul. She was always so passionate about the people she cared for and the things she believed in. If she had your back, you'd have a friend for life. She loved hard and loved long. Willow deserved so much more than she got from this life. Willow, I hope you find your peace, we will always love you." -- Tristan John. -- Willow's Older Brother.
