I've raised £2683 to buy William a new off-road specialist buggy/bike trailer

William is our (very very nearly) 9 year old eldest child. He was born with a rare brain malformation called Lissencephaly. None of his brain grew in the usual way and parts of his brain are missing. This has left William with profound disabilities and learning difficulties. He has many complex medical needs; epilepsy, type 1 diabetes, and very poor respiratory health to name a few. He requires full time care from us as his parents or his specially trained group of carers.
In spite of all this William is the most chilled out boy you could ever meet and he has a smile that cheers everyone else up. He attends special school full time where he is a very popular member of his class.
William uses a specialist wheelchair day to day to get about but it's not practical for anything a bit more adventurous. Several years ago some friends fundraised for an off-road buggy for us to broaden the activities William could take part in with us. We've used that chair to take part in a Bubble rush and on many family holidays. It enables William to get onto the beach or access rougher ground. Sadly he has outgrown this chair so we are raising money for a new bigger specialist off road buggy, which also doubles up as a bike trailer, called the XRover (https://www.specialisedorthoticservices.co.uk/product/xrover-all-in-one-buggystroller/)!
Like all specialist disability equipment it doesn't come cheap! So we need to raise £2683!! We'd love to be able to continue to include William in as much as we can as a family while he's still well enough. We know William will have a much shorter life than most but we want to create as many happy memories as we can in that time and give William as many experience as we can.
Update: Wow! We raised the money for the buggy so fast! Thank you all so much! We have made the decision to put any extra money raised towards a sensory area in our garden for William. Last year William had a downstairs bedroom and wetroom built. The area outside his bedroom is the remnants of our driveway so we would like to move our garden fence to include this area within the garden and add some bright sensory features for William to enjoy. We already have a little herb garden so William can enjoy the smells from the plants.
