In 2021, one of OGCC’s players, Andy King, led a fundraising campaign to provide some wonderul Christmas hampers to families in need in the local area. He raised the awareness, collected the money, bought the food, and delivered them in time for Christmas day. This was following sinilar efforts to provide lunches for kids during half terms where school dinners were not available.

We are hugely saddened at the club that Andy was taken from us earlier this year. This was only one of countless acts of kindness and generosity from Andy, who gave so much of his time to support the club and community.

As a club, we would like to continue Andy’s work, as we know it meant a great deal to him. we are therefore looking to raise money to support Glossopdale Foodbank who do an incredible job to support families facing the current cost if living crisis all year around.
