Story
Wigton Moor Primary School are trying to raise money for an all weather track. Four lots of little legs from Year 3 are going to run 5Km at the Roundhay Park Run on Sat 27th October. Libby, Maya, Daisy and Anya - Rose have been training with the Mini Mermaids Running Club in Roundhay and they hope they can raise a bit of money for the school to help contribute to this fantastic project:

This will cost £75,000 to buy but every little bit helps!
The school field is a fantastic space but it can’t be used for much of the year because of wet weather. The plan is to lay a wide all-weather track around the whole school field, leaving enough space for football and others sports, PE and school sports events in the middle. Along the track will be a variety of play equipment (see the pictures for examples) Creating an all-weather activity trail like this will:
* Provide a much bigger, better play area.
* Allow the kids to join a mile-a-day activity (great for boosting fitness, brainpower, confidence and positivity).
* Encourage imagination and teamwork.
* Give year-round access to the outdoor classroom and garden area.
* Enable teachers to run outdoor lessons using the equipment
